Here at Palm Done Right, September is our favorite month of the year. Why? September marks the celebration of Palm Done Right Month, a time when we observe the mission behind our work and the efforts of our valued partners.
Since 2018, our team has commemorated this observance to further raise awareness about the importance of our sustainable, organic palm oil harvesting and production. This year, our sixth year of celebration, we explore the many incredible uses of palm oil and the products that contain this wonderful ingredient. Palm Done Right Month, celebrated each September, is an observance that emphasizes the necessity of harvesting and producing organic, sustainable palm oil, honoring the work of our partners to uphold this important mission.
During this month, the team at Palm Done Right displays the countless benefits of sustainably sourcing palm oil, rather than using standards and practices that have historically been harmful for the environment and the workers on every step of the supply chain. Our goal is to educate both brands and consumers about the many positive aspects of palm oil when it’s produced the right way.
You might be wondering, “Why is this topic so important?” Because of the ubiquitous nature of palm oil—in fact, about 50% of your groceries are estimated to contain the ingredient—making sure people are aware of the proper conditions for its production is crucial.
We promote the idea that the ideal palm oil is organic, fully traceable, deforestation free, wildlife friendly, and fair and social. By upholding these standards, we can transform this necessary product to have as positive an impact as possible.
Palm Done Right upholds the same mission: to promote responsible and ethical palm oil production through sustainability. Thanks to the collaboration of a collective of companies, organizations, and individuals who share the same values around organic, sustainable palm oil, our initiative continues to grow and evolve.
Much of the reputation around palm oil is negative due to many years of unethical practices that have harmed ecosystems full of various forms of wildlife. But the work done by Palm Done Right and our partners has aimed to undo these harmful effects and revolutionize the future of the palm oil industry.
We aim to enact change throughout the supply chain so the benefits of this incredible product can be accessible to consumers without any of the undesirable consequences of previous poor practices. At Palm Done Right, our team works to improve these conditions and improve the world of palm oil for animals, for farmers, for communities, for the environment, and for you!
Our work wouldn’t be possible without the presence of our many valued partners. These partners support our mission and pledge themselves to providing sustainably sourced palm oil to customers throughout the nation. Interested in checking out our retail partners near you?
