What does it mean to be organic?

Many people are familiar with the term, but they aren’t quite sure what it actually signifies. The land where a crop is grown and the various facilities where it is handled and processed all play a role in this distinction. Organic crops do not contain any toxic, synthetic pesticides or fertilizers; synthetic growth hormones; artificial flavors, colors, or preservatives; or GMO ingredients.

Not only are organic products-including organic palm oil-better for us, but they are also better for the environment. Organic practices help to reduce our carbon footprint and combat climate change, two crucial aspects of caring for the ecosystem where these crops are grown. Crop rotation and cover crops are also important aspects of this process that increase biodiversity.
