 Spring is fully upon us, and what better dish to crave than a colorful and fresh seafood salad? This spring slaw is crunchy, a little spicy, and packed with flavor. Plus, it’s super easy! When palm is done right, it can be a stable ingredient in any delicious meal. That’s why we are proud to bring you yet another article in our palm oil recipes series. Check it out!

Smoked Shrimp Slaw 

Serves 4

 Ingredients:

  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 2 lbs raw shrimp
  • ½ cup chopped parsley
  • ½ head shredded green cabbage
  • ¼ cup shredded carrots
  • ¼ cup chopped scallions
  • 2/3 cup chopped celery
  • 2/3 cup thinly sliced radishes
  • 3 tablespoons red palm oil
  • 4 strips of bacon, cooked & chopped
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ground pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Instructions:

  1. In a large bowl combine shrimp, paprika, salt, pepper, minced garlic and palm oil, toss.
  2. Sauté shrimp over medium heat for several minutes until pink in a nonstick pan
  3. Toss shrimp with remaining vegetables, sprinkle with chopped bacon and serve.
