Since 1974, the artisanal and family soap factory Martin de Candre has been making natural soaps based on the Marseille process. It is one of the last French soap factories to be saponified according to this ancestral know-how which, under the action of heat, transforms the fatty bodies of vegetable oils into soap. It is a unique process that lies between hot and cold saponification: it respects the vegetable oils used because the temperature does not exceed 90 degrees.
As soap and perfume makers for 3 generations, we have built our reputation on the rarity and authenticity of our know-how as soap maker and perfumer. Since our creation, we have developed more than 80 unique recipes exclusively with finest raw materials. We are committed to safeguarding our ancestral process while adapting to current cosmetic standards. In this way, we guarantee our customers a traditional, local and artisanal soap of high quality.
“In the traditional saponification process, palm oil is one of the key vegetable oils to obtain a hard soap with a very good conservation. Palm Done Right allowed us to continue its use serenely by certifying that it was harvested with respect for humans, the environment and biodiversity. Since its use in our saponification process, we have even softer and more nourishing soaps for the skin! Thanks to them, we have gained in terms of transparency and quality.”
